Spiced Vanilla and Wine Poached Pears

- 2 cups red wine half a bottle
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon All Spice
- 1 clove
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 6 Bartlett pears
Add wine, sugar, vanilla, and spices to large saucepan on medium-high heat and bring to a boil
While water is heating, peel pears
Once liquid reaches boil, turn it down to low
Add pears to liquid and simmer for 15 minutes or until tender, turning every couple minutes
Remove and let cool to room temperature
Serve with ice cream and enjoy
